BIOPERINE®

BioPerine® is the only product sourced out of piperine (black pepper) to obtain a patented status for its ability to increase the bioavailability of nutritional compounds.
Secondly, it is the only source from piperine to have undergone clinical studies in the U.S. to substantiate its safety and efficacy for nutritional use.

A standardized extract from the fruit of Piper nigrum L (black pepper) or Piper longum L (long pepper).

“Neither curcumin nor turmeric taken orally is well absorbed unless taken with black pepper or piperine (Bioperine®), a constituent of black pepper.” Dr. Andrew Weil.

The dose of Bioperine® should not be lower than 5mg per 500mg of curcumin C3 for scientifically proven results.

“Nature’s Bioavailability Enhancing Thermonutrient”.

How does BioPerine® work?
The metabolic process that generates energy at the cellular level in the human body is called thermogenesis. Though thermogenesis has been identified as a key factor in maintaining weight loss, it has also been identified as playing an integral role in utilizing the daily food and nutrients that the human body consumes. It sets in motion the mechanisms that lead to digestion and subsequent gastrointestinal absorption. Piperine, in the patented form of BioPerine® enhances the body’s natural thermogenic activity-hence the term Thermonutrient®.

This enhancement may be explained as a means of increasing the thermal energy sufficient to “power up” the mechanism related to thermogenesis. This in turn results in increased metabolic processes that creates a “demand” for “supply” of a broad range of nutrients that contribute to metabolism, i.e. vitamins, minerals, herbals, amino acids, etc. It is as if BioPerine® activates a metabolic paddle wheel, of sorts, that selectively provides a more efficient mode of nutrient transportation into the blood.

CURCUMIN

Curcumin (Turmeric Extract) is from the roots of the turmeric plant.

Curcumin is extracted from the roots of the Turmeric plant. Turmeric is an ancient Indian spice and a traditional remedy that has been used as a medicine, condiment and flavoring. Turmeric has been used in both Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine as an anti-inflammatory, to treat digestive and liver problems, skin diseases, wounds and to improve body immunity.

It supports health in areas including Arthritis, Alzheimer’s, inflammatory issues , Cancer, Cholesterol, Weight loss, Diabetes etc.

We, at Northeast Natural, use the patented CURCUMIN C3 COMPLEX® as it is the ONLY curcumin formula to have over 50 scientific studies to validate its effectiveness. The name C3 COMPLEX® refers to the 3 main naturally occurring compounds – Curcumin, Demethoxycurcumin and Bisdemethoxycurcumin, collectively known as Curcuminoids. These compounds stabilize the curcumin and are more efficient in protection from oxidative stress than cucumin alone.

Patented for its unique composition ratio, C3 COMPLEX® is described as a Bioprotectant.

C3 COMPLEX® provides optimal protection and integrity to biological systems.

Neither curcumin nor turmeric taken orally is well absorbed unless taken with piperine (Bioperine®), a constituent of black pepper. (SEE BIOPERINE ABOVE for more information)

Curcumin C3 Complex® is:

Made of a minimum of 95% curcuminoids.
Manufactured in an ISO-‐certified facility to ensure that it is free from impurities and contaminants.

–NON GMO(NON Genetically Modified).
–Made of Sustainably grown Curcumin Longa.
–Kosher and Soy free.
–Vegan
–Allergen Free

BOTANICAL INFORMATION of Curcumin / Turmeric

Family : Zingiberaceae
Genus : Curcuma
Most common species Curcuma longa
Number of Curcuma Species 70
Part used Rhizome (Root)

Turmeric is a perennial plant that grows 5 – 6 feet high in the tropical regions of Southern Asia, with trumpet-shaped, dull yellow flowers. Its roots are bulbs that also produce rhizomes, which then produce stems and roots for new plants. Turmeric is fragrant and has a bitter, somewhat sharp taste. Although it grows in many tropical locations, the majority of turmeric is grown in India, where it is used as a main ingredient in curry. The roots, or rhizomes and bulbs, are used in medicine and food. They are generally boiled and then dried, turning into the familiar yellow powder. Turmeric gives Indian curry its flavor and yellow color. It is also used in mustard and to color butter and cheese.
